The Role:

We’re looking for a Backend Engineer who’s passionate about building scalable systems and solving complex technical challenges. You’ll play a key role in shaping the architecture and backend foundation of a rapidly growing AI platform, collaborating closely with product, frontend, and customer-facing teams to deliver features that delight users and drive business impact.

This is a hands-on, high-velocity engineering role where you’ll contribute to everything from architectural design to implementation, testing, and deployment — all within a supportive, fast-paced team environment that values collaboration and craftsmanship.

What You’ll Do:

• Build Scalable Systems: Design and develop backend services and APIs to support new product features and integrations.
• Architect for Reliability: Contribute to architectural decisions that ensure performance, resilience, and scalability.
• Collaborate Across Teams: Work closely with product managers, frontend engineers, and customer success to deliver impactful solutions.
• Elevate Code Quality: Write clean, maintainable code, conduct code reviews, and follow best practices for testing and deployment.
• Mentor and Grow: Support and guide junior and intern engineers through pairing, design discussions, and code reviews.
• Continuous Improvement: Identify areas for optimization and drive technical enhancements across the platform.
• Problem-Solve with Impact: Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve backend issues to maintain product stability and uptime.

What You Bring:

• 3–5 years of software engineering experience, with at least 2 years in SaaS or backend web application development.
• Strong foundation in Node.js, GraphQL, and GCP (similar technologies also welcome).
• Proven ability to design and scale high-availability systems using modern frameworks and infrastructure.
• Experience working with APIs, databases, and microservices architectures.
• Exposure to OpenAI or AI-powered technologies is a plus.
• Experience mentoring junior developers and contributing to team knowledge sharing.
• Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving skills, and a bias for action.
• Adaptable and collaborative in fast-paced, agile environments.
