Senior Software Engineer

Our client is a global leader in the manufacturing IoT space. They provide cloud-based and AI-driven solutions to help manufacturers monitor their industrial equipment to help improve efficiency and be able to predict and avoid down time for maintenance. They are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to do full stack development but heavily focused on the backend so they need someone strong with Java, SQL and API development. This will start off as a 6 month contract with the potential to go fill time. The role requires someone onsite 1-2x per week in their Montreal office. Job Title: Senior Software Engineer (Java) Location: Montreal, QC (2x per week in the office) Required Technology And Skills

• 7+ years of psoftware engineering experience
• Strong full stack engineering skillset, primarily leveraging Java
• Perform coding, debugging, and testing throughout the SDLC
• Lead code reviews and enforce coding standards
• Hibernate, JSP, web services, and Tomcat
• Previous experience leading, mentoring, or managing a small team of engineers is required
• Experience leading major technical projects while fully understanding the business side
• Experience with REST APIs and SQL
• Ability to enhance CI/CD pipelines and optimize development workflows

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science
• AI
• IoT or SaaS experience is highly preferred
