Sap Advanced Business Application Programming Developer

We’re currently seeking a skilled and experienced SAP ABAP DEVELOPER to support our client, a large power utility within the SAP Operations & Enterprise Analytics division. This senior-level role plays a vital part in supporting IS-U and integration-related initiatives by delivering custom development and technical support for evolving enterprise project needs. The position focuses on ABAP development in SAP IS-U, and includes integration touchpoints such as SAP Gateway, OData, and SAP CPI.

LOCATION & WORK HOURS:

• Location: Hybrid (offsite allowed); onsite presence in Regina, Saskatchewan may be required during project test windows or go-lives.

• Work Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM CST

• After-hours support may be required during go-live and weekend deployment windows.

REQUIREMENTSMandatory Qualifications:

• Minimum 10+ years of SAP IS-U ABAP development experienceDesired Skills & Experience:

• SAP Gateway & OData service development

• SAP Cloud Platform Integration (CPI)

• Broad ABAP experience across custom function modules, reports, enhancements, and interfaces

• Ability to pivot across project needs and contribute to different functional areas based on availability

EDUCATION & CERTIFICATIONSDesired:

• SAP ABAP Certification

DELIVERABLES

The SAP ABAP Developer will be responsible for:

• Providing technical development support for SAP IS-U projects

• Designing and implementing enhancements, reports, and integrations

• Supporting project milestones including go-live activities (including after-hours if required)

• Collaborating with functional teams to address business needs and bridge system capabilities

• Remaining available for reallocation to additional SAP projects should delivery gaps arise

ABOUT THE ROLE:

This is a three-year contract, starting July 1, 2025, and ending June 30, 2028, with 100% utilization guaranteed. The position is classified as Senior-level under the SAP program and will contribute to IS-U, integration, and enterprise modernization efforts.
