The Opportunity Superior Forklift is looking for a mechanically skilled Dock & Door Technician to join our Service team in Regina, Saskatchewan. Reporting to the Service Manager, the Dock & Door Technician will be assigned to a variety of repair tasks required by our loyal customers. Essential Duties & Responsibilities As a Dock & Door Technician your key responsibilities will include:
- Adequately diagnose, troubleshoot and repair dock equipment, including dock plates and overhead doors
- Build relationships with customers and clearly provide information relating to job scopes and repair requirements
- Perform preventative maintenance and safety inspections on assigned equipment, establishing procedures and cost guidelines at customer’s facility
- Conduct tasks assigned from the Dispatcher and maintain effective communication and timely updates
- Prepare all required parts before visiting job sites
- Actively communicate with the Parts department to ensure required parts are available
- Complete work order forms for assigned jobs
- Adhere to warranty policies and complete necessary warranty documentation
- Report any safety incidents according to company policy
- Maintain proper documentation as needed
Required Skills & Qualifications The ideal candidate will possess the following skills, knowledge, and competencies:
- Provincial Heavy Duty, Automotive Journeyperson’s ticket or relevant trade certificate is considered an asset
- Experience in electrical troubleshooting an asset
- Experience with welding, torching and grinding steel an asset
- Ability to read and understand schematics
- Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with external customers and internal stakeholders
- Valid driver’s license required
- Ability to travel to customer sites within local region as needed

The base pay range for this role is: $32.09 to $38.24 per hour depending on experience. This is an onsite role based in Regina, Saskatchewan.
