About The Role As a Human Resources Assistant at CFMWS, you will play a vital role in supporting the human resources functions at your designated location. Your responsibilities will include providing clerical and administrative support, acting as the first point of contact for employee and business inquiries, and assisting with recruitment activities such as posting jobs, scheduling interviews, conducting reference checks, and security screening. You will also be responsible for administering the employee orientation program, ensuring all new hire documentation is completed accurately, and maintaining organized access to HR information. Your proactive approach will contribute to the development and implementation of HR tools, programs, and training initiatives aimed at addressing recurrent issues and enhancing operational efficiency. This hands-on role requires a team-oriented mindset, strong organizational skills, and a passion for supporting people and processes within the HR domain. Qualifications

  • College diploma or certificate in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, Accounting, or a related field
  • Several years of experience in Human Resources or Office Administration
  • Experience in office administration, policy application, payroll administration, and recruitment
  • Strong understanding of policies, procedures, and regulations related to HR
  • Client-focused mindset with excellent organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively and demonstrate leadership within a team
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and French (reading, writing, and speaking) is essential

Responsibilities

  • Provide clerical and administrative support for HR functions at the assigned location
  • Serve as the primary contact for employee and business inquiries, offering timely and professional assistance
  • Assist with recruitment processes, including posting job opportunities, scheduling interviews, and conducting reference and security checks
  • Administer the employee orientation program, ensuring all new hire documentation is accurate and complete
  • Maintain organized and accessible HR records and information systems
  • Support the development and implementation of HR tools, programs, and training initiatives
  • Participate in the rollout of new policies, procedures, and programs to improve HR service delivery
  • Collaborate with team members to address recurrent HR issues and improve operational workflows
