Strategio – Business Analyst - Capital Markets – Hybrid, Montreal, QCThe Opportunity:

We are looking for a Business Analyst / Functional Analyst with strong Capital Markets experience to join a high-performing team supporting critical business functions across trading, risk, and operations.

This role is ideal for professionals who understand how financial products move across the full trade lifecycle and can confidently navigate fast-paced capital markets environments. You will act as a key bridge between business stakeholders and technology teams, helping drive initiatives that impact front, middle, and post-trade workflows.

About you:

You are business-oriented, analytical, and comfortable operating in demanding financial environments where precision and speed matter.

You understand how trades flow from execution to settlement and can confidently engage with stakeholders across trading desks, risk teams, and operations. You know how to translate business needs into functional solutions and drive meaningful outcomes.

You are naturally collaborative, detail-oriented, and proactive in solving challenges. Most importantly, you bring strong Capital Markets exposure and can speak the language of the industry with confidence.

As a Strategio Business Analyst - Capital Markets, you will:

  • Partner with stakeholders across Trading, Risk, Middle Office, and Operations to gather business requirements
  • Analyze and document functional and business requirements for capital markets initiatives
  • Support projects impacting trade lifecycle processes from front office to post-trade operations
  • Bridge communication between business users and technology teams to ensure successful delivery
  • Contribute to process improvements across trade processing, valuations, P&L, and risk workflows
  • Facilitate workshops, stakeholder discussions, and documentation sessions
  • Ensure alignment between business objectives and system capabilities

Core Skills:

  • Experience as a Business Analyst or Functional Analyst within Capital Markets / Financial Markets
  • Strong understanding of the full trade lifecycle (front-to-back)
  • Exposure to products such as derivatives, FX, rates, fixed income, and related markets products
  • Experience working with stakeholders across Trading, Risk, and Middle Office / Operations
  • Strong communication, documentation, and stakeholder management skills
  • Fluent in both French and English (mandatory)
  • Ability to explain trade flow clearly and practically
  • Experience working in fast-paced enterprise financial environments

Nice-to-Haves:

  • Experience with Murex, Calypso, or similar Capital Markets platforms
  • Background in Risk, P&L, valuations, or trade processing
  • Experience supporting projects impacting trading or post-trade workflows
  • Exposure to transformation initiatives within capital markets environments
  • Strong understanding of operational and system dependencies across front-to-back processes
