Our large manufacturing client in North Vancouver, BC is hiring a Senior Data Analyst to support data-driven decision-making across manufacturing, supply chain, and enterprise operations. Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain Power BI reports, dashboards, datasets, and semantic models using Power Query (M), DAX, and SQL, ranging from foundational reporting to highly complex analytical solutions.
- Build and optimize data models and transformations across the analytics stack, including Databricks and Delta Lakes.
- Analyze and interpret complex manufacturing and supply chain data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for operational, financial, and performance improvement.
- Integrate data from multiple enterprise systems (e.g., ERP/MRP, PLM, scheduling, and cloud platforms), ensuring consistent definitions, data lineage, and a unified reporting model.
- Validate data sources, transformations, and calculations against business rules and reference data to ensure accuracy, completeness, and trust in all reported metrics and KPIs.
- Collaborate closely with business stakeholders and internal team members to translate requirements into effective data solutions, provide insights, and continuously improve analytics performance and usability.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Business Analytics, Supply Chain, or a related field (Master’s degree considered an asset for senior-level candidates).
- Experience in data analytics, business intelligence, or data engineering, ranging from early-career (junior analyst) to senior-level (7+ years) experience designing enterprise-scale BI and data solutions.
- Strong to expert proficiency in Microsoft Power BI, including data modeling, DAX, Power Query (M), and performance optimization, depending on role level.
- Solid to advanced SQL skills, with experience developing and tuning complex queries; senior candidates should bring hands-on experience with Databricks, Delta Lake, and data warehouse architectures.
- Understanding of data warehousing concepts, ETL/ELT processes, and analytical data modeling techniques (e.g., star and snowflake schemas).
- Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and communication skills, with the ability to translate business needs into technical solutions and clearly explain insights to stakeholders.
Pay: $50-70 per/hour depending on seniority and incorporation status.
5 days per week in North Vancouver, BC
