We are looking for a Building Maintenance Coordinator who takes pride in hands-on work, enjoys solving problems, and is ready to support the day-to-day upkeep of our properties. As our Building Maintenance Coordinator, you’ll play a key role in keeping our facilities safe, functional, and welcoming. You’ll take a proactive approach to building maintenance by staying ahead of issues, completing routine repairs, coordinating major projects with skilled trades, and responding to service requests from store teams and tenants. Location: This role is primarily based throughout our dealerships in the HRM, however some travel to our locations across Atlantic Canada may be required, so flexibility and a willingness to travel are important. Compensation: $65,000 - $80,000/year, based on knowledge, skills and experience. • Perform routine maintenance, minor repairs, and general upkeep of the facility
• Inspect HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and structural systems to ensure proper operation
• Coordinate maintenance schedules and oversee contractors for larger projects
• Respond promptly to service requests from store teams and tenants
• Manage vendor relationships, obtain quotes, and ensure work meets quality standards
• Maintain accurate records and ensure all work follows safety and building regulations
• Support or supervise maintenance staff, providing guidance and training as needed
• Complete other duties as assigned to keep facilities running smoothly

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in facility maintenance, building operations, or a related field
• Solid understanding of HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, and general building repairs
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
• Clear and professional communication skills for working with staff, tenants, and vendors
• Ability to lift and move heavy equipment, work at heights, and complete physically demanding tasks
