Job Description

Wanted: A Visual Mastermind to Create Killer Content
STEALTH Media is no longer the "best-kept secret" in Saskatchewan. We are a dominant marketing force on an aggressive growth trajectory. We are looking to secure a missing piece of the puzzle: a photo-video creative capable of making magic happen, even if that means putting on a Rokoko motion capture suit to help our animator create something from nothing in our high-end studio space.
ABOUT STEALTH Media
We’re architects of brand stories. Backed by Axon Development Corporation, STEALTH Media is an award-winning playground for designers, developers, creatives, and strategists. Founded in 2006 and gaining serious momentum since 2018, our work spans local legends to international players across Canada and the U.S.
IDEAL CANDIDATE
We want more than just a passionate photographer (15%) / videographer (85%). One month, it might be a short film. The next - a slew of social media vertical content. Then an above-the-line 30s commercial for broadcast.
We want someone who resists going on autopilot, takes manual control, and brings out-of-the-box thinking and a more creative take to every project we do. We also want to give you the freedom to shake up expectations when things start to feel ‘same-old’. We capture all kinds of video content, and we want someone who understands how to shoot for multiple channels and who can shoot in various styles. Think David Fincher vs. Terrence Malick vs. Yasujirō Ozu vs. Paul Greengrass.
The Studio = Your Sandbox. You aren't just stepping into a pre-set workspace. You are a key architect to make it your studio for your project. You will have a seat at the table to help design it, curate the gear, and set the standard for how this space is used.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
We are seeking a Photographer/Videographer experienced at working with a team to:
- Contribute to the continued development and setup of our studio space
- Collaborate with the marketing team to strategize the video project objectives and target audience
- Plan and execute video shoots in complete detail (including on-location)
- Clear and concise scripting, shot lists, and set design
- Storyboard video concepts, ensuring alignment with brand guidelines
- Set up and manage equipment for indoor and outdoor shoots
- Operate and maintain video equipment, including cameras, lighting, and studio gear
- Capture high-quality video footage in different settings, ensuring optimal lighting, framing, and audio quality
- Edit video footage, adding graphics, music, sound design, and special effects as required | Edit photography (Lightroom, etc)
- Optimize video content for SEO, social media boosts, and PPC ads
- Assist in content creation for social media campaigns, including Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube, and LinkedIn, as well as commercial broadcast and web
- Livestream video content in the studio
- Update and manage time in Wrike
- Manage multiple projects across varying phases of production and overlapping deadlines
- Stay up to date with industry trends/advancements in video production techniques
SKILLS AND EDUCATION
- Post-secondary credentials from an accredited film school or similar are an asset, but experience will be considered
- Proven experience as a videographer, with a strong portfolio showcasing your work
- Strong knowledge of camera equipment and operation
- Excellent understanding of lighting, composition, and visual storytelling
- Creative mindset with an ability to think outside the box
- Flexibility to adapt to changing project requirements
- Proficient with editing software such as DaVinci Resolve and/or Adobe Premiere
- Must demonstrate efficient editing skills
- Self-motivated and ability to multitask on multiple projects
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work in a team setting and help the team where needed.
- Scripting/storyboarding an asset
- Equipment diversity is an asset
- Having your own camera/gear for emergency scenarios is considered an asset
- Availability for occasional travel for overnight location shots and weekend hours if necessary
BENEFITS/PERKS
GSC health benefits, profit-sharing system, parking pass, and gym membership included (with steam room, squash courts, etc), plus access to all Innovation Sask events, onsite lunch options, Foosball, Ping Pong, etc.
