We bring diverse backgrounds, skills, and expertise and create a caring culture where everyone can thrive. Through teamwork and collaboration, we’re building a stronger, more resilient Stantec every day. Role Overview

  • The Senior Website Content Specialist is a hands‑on expert responsible for the execution, quality, and maintenance of the organization’s website and associated microsites. This role focuses on content publishing, site structure, CMS administration, and website optimization, ensuring content is accurate, accessible, usable, and aligned with governance and UX standards.
  • This is a pure individual‑contributor role. The position provides subject‑matter expertise and leads work through execution and influence rather than formal authority or people management.

Key Responsibilities Website Content Execution

  • Create, update, archive, and remove website content across the primary site and microsites using the enterprise CMS.
  • Ensure content is accurate, current, and compliant with brand, accessibility, and publishing standards.
  • Maintain content consistency across templates, components, and page types.

CMS & Site Structure Support

  • Execute CMS activities including page creation, component configuration, metadata, tagging, redirects, and publishing workflows.
  • Maintain site navigation, page hierarchies, and taxonomies in alignment with established information architecture.
  • Identify CMS or structural issues and work with digital, UX, or IT partners to resolve them.

Intake & Issue Resolution

  • Manage assigned website tickets, requests, and fixes from intake through completion.
  • Troubleshoot content, layout, and publishing issues within the CMS.
  • Clearly communicate status, constraints, and timelines to requestors.

UX & Content Optimization

  • Apply UX and content‑design best practices to page layouts, navigation, and content structure.
  • Partner with UX and analytics teams to implement improvements based on testing, feedback, and performance insights.
  • Support accessibility, usability, and findability improvements across the site.

Project & Initiative Support

  • Execute assigned tasks for website enhancements and redesign initiatives.
  • Translate requirements into accurate CMS builds and content implementations.
  • Validate content and page builds prior to launch to ensure quality and adherence to standards.

Collaboration & Enablement

  • Act as a subject‑matter expert for CMS usage, templates, and web content standards.
  • Provide guidance to content contributors on best practices and governance requirements.
  • Collaborate closely with digital marketing, UX, IT, and external partners.

Scope & Level‑Setting

  • Individual contributor with deep technical and content expertise.
  • No people‑management or budget responsibility.
  • Focused on execution, accuracy, and quality, not strategy or prioritization decisions.
  • Escalates risks, structural issues, or conflicting requirements to a Manager or Director.

Experience Required Qualifications

  • 4–6 years of hands‑on experience managing website content in a CMS‑driven environment.
  • Strong experience working within enterprise CMS platforms (e.g., Adobe Experience Manager or similar).
  • Experience supporting complex, multi‑page or multi‑site websites.
  • Experience contributing to website enhancements or redesign projects.

Skills & Expertise

  • Strong understanding of UX principles, information architecture, and content design.
  • High attention to detail and strong quality‑control mindset.
  • Comfortable working from tickets, task lists, and defined requirements.
  • Clear communicator with the ability to explain technical concepts to non‑technical partners.
  • Familiarity with SEO fundamentals, analytics, and accessibility standards.
  • Experience working within formal website governance frameworks.
  • Experience collaborating with external digital agencies or development partners.
