Role Overview
Sixone Labs is seeking a seasoned Senior Demo Production Supervisor with extensive operational experience to lead our production efforts across multiple sites. This is a high-impact leadership role for a "builder" who can create structure, define metrics, and manage a team of 10–15 operators and contractors. You will bridge high-level strategy and floor-level execution to ensure our chemical processes are safe, efficient, and scalable. This position requires a proactive and hands-on approach, a deep understanding of chemical production processes, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic startup culture.
Key Roles and Responsibilities
- Workflow Optimization: Lead production schedules to meet delivery deadlines and manage plant staff, including training and scheduling shifts.
- Operational Excellence: Build the framework for measuring success. Use your Six Sigma toolkit to track KPIs like downtime and implement process improvements.
- Safety & Compliance: Maintain a safe workplace following OH&S regulations. Serve as the subject matter expert for hazardous chemical handling, ensuring all safety protocols and certifications are followed.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure all products meet strict quality standards and oversee end-to-end production quality.
- Equipment Maintenance: Coordinate preventative maintenance to reduce downtime and ensure machinery is in optimal condition.
- Global Scaling: Collaborate with the Scale Team (service engineers) to align demo production with broader company growth.
- Team management: manage a team of chemical production workers to ensure smooth operation of the processing facility
Requirements and Qualifications
- 5+ years of direct manufacturing experience with deep operational background
- 3+ year of experience managing a production team
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, or a related technical field is preferred.
- Extensive experience working chemical process management and methodologies for reducing process variance and waste.
- Proficiency in or knowledge of industrial production software.
- Ability to work up to 50% of the time within North America and Europe
- Exceptional communication and leadership skills; ability to manage diverse teams in multiple geographical locations
