Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Finance Lead, based in Regina, SK. Working closely with the Chief Financial & Operating Officer, the Finance Lead will provide accurate financial information, ensure strong controls, and support informed decision-making across the organization. Additional responsibilities include:
- Lead financial reporting, including monthly, quarterly, and annual statements
- Maintain accurate accounting records including: maintain and oversee the general ledger, reconciliations, and financial records
- Monitor and support rent tracking, subsidies, arrears, and tenant account reconciliations
- Ensure compliance with funding agreements, policies, and non-profit accounting standards
- Manage payroll and benefits administration
- Supervise accounting and finance staff
- Support procurement and contract processes
- Strengthen internal controls and improve financial systems and processes
Qualifications
- Strong accounting background with experience in financial reporting and compliance
- Experience with financial software and tools is an asset
- Experience within non-profit and/or housing/property management or community-focused organizations is an advantage
- Ability to lead day-to-day financial operations and support a small team
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
- Experience with budgeting, audits, payroll, and financial systems
- Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, with a CPA designation (or working toward) preferred, plus a minimum of 3 years of progressive experience; or
- Diploma in Accounting with a minimum of 8 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a non-profit and/or housing/property management environment
- Demonstrated leadership and supervisory experience
