About The Opportunity
- Aids management in attendance support meetings and employee follow up.
- Responsible for providing administrative and clerical support to the human resource department.
- Review Permanent Residency/Immigration requests to determine if employee has met requirements, works closely with Immigration team to process requests.
- Complete confirmation of Employment letters for Immigration purposes.
- Draft internal offer letters in accordance with union requirements and terms and conditions.
- Draft coaching letters and verbal warning letters based on information provided by management.
- Complete personal leave letters as approved by sites/facilities.
- Assist with bargaining as required.
- Participate in New Build orientation preparation.
- Audit and maintain various tracking sheets
- Support HR department with educational sessions.
- Support HR department with coordinating employee engagement survey results.
- Support HR department with monthly HR reporting (basic navigation of Power BI and excel to compile reports)
- Other duties as required.
About You In addition to placing high value on continuous improvement, collaboration and accountability, you bring:
- 1 to 3 years with a focus on Human Resources.
- College Diploma in Human Resources, or related field.
- Experience in human resources administration within a unionized environment.
- Have a knowledge and ability to use computers and information technology to improve efficiency.
- Ability to plan and carry out work according to pre-set objectives.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office 356 Suite.
- Ability to meet or exceed service needs and expectation and to provide excellent service in a direct and indirect manner.
- Strong personal skills such as time management and organizational skills, critical thinking, effective oral and written communication.
