Service Rep (Sales/Credit Services) Location: Saskatoon, SK Number of Positions: 3 Salary:$27.99 to $36.44 (Depending on education and experience) Type of Position: Casual Part-Time Closing Date: 03/16/2026

Job Summary Represents the Corporation in all types of customer contacts including determining customer's needs and requirements, recommending solutions, sale of products and/or services, collection and adjustment of accounts and handling public inquiries. Completes internal work and procedures to ensure the customer’s requirements are met or exceeded. Typical Duties & Responsibilities (Not all inclusive or applicable to all assignments)

  • Determines customer needs and requirements in a competitive environment. Initiates/prepares sales proposals as required and recommends optimum service solutions to the customer. Utilizes support personnel as required.
  • Sells products and/or services on an initiated and/or demand basis.
  • Prepares or arranges for completion of legal contracts, forms and credit applications. Assigns customer credit ratings. Negotiates with customers for security arrangements.
  • Treats customer accounts to minimize revenue losses, handling legal issues as necessary. Negotiates with customers for adjustments to and extensions of credit to their accounts. Adjusts/corrects errors and/or omissions on customer accounts. Secures payment on NSF cheques.
  • Prepares associated forms (i.e. service orders, etc.) for personal sales activity and those referred from other sales channels. Activates services and/or features on real time basis. Reviews service orders for accuracy.
  • Participates in sales campaigns and retention activities on an initiated and/or demand basis.
  • Maintains related reports and updates mechanized systems.
  • Handles all customer inquiries/complaints and resolves disputes.
  • Assists other internal departments as required.

Qualifications

  • Working knowledge of techniques needed to persuasively promote the sale of products and/ or services.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills and the ability to influence, persuade and deal effectively with others in conflict situations.
  • Good written communication skills.
  • Working knowledge of SaskTel products and services.
  • Analytical, problem solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Working knowledge of SaskTel systems used in daily job functions.
  • Working knowledge of personal computers and various software applications.
  • Ability to multi-task.
  • Successful completion of prescribed training courses.
  • Ability to adapt to a constantly changing environment.
  • Keyboarding skills 20 WPM
