SRC also offers many other benefits such as flexible retirement and savings options, insured benefits, professional development opportunities, a robust safety program and an outstanding team environment.   Overview The Saskatchewan Research Council’s Research and Technology – Lab Services Division has an opening for a Technologist in the Organics area who will conduct routine and non-routine testing using general laboratory and analytical equipment. This is a 1-year term position. Accountabilities

  • Prepare samples for analysis and perform a variety of laboratory tests using standardized lab procedures
  • Operate and perform routine maintenance of instrumentation while adhering to protocols and safety guidelines
  • Calculate, report and track sample results in LIMS

Qualifications

  • A chemical technology diploma or equivalent
  • Experience with laboratory procedures
  • Working knowledge of analytical equipment is an asset

Skills

  • A team player with effective interpersonal, communication, multitasking and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to understand and carry out written procedures
  • Positive attitude and willingness to help where needed
  • Safety oriented
