We are seeking an immediate Business Analyst – SAP FICO for a Public Sector client in a hybrid role with primary location at 215 Garry Street, Winnipeg, Manitoba. This SAP S/4 FICO Business Analyst (7+ years SAP S/4 HANA FICO, 5+ years SAP FICO Business Analyst, 3+ years Public Sector, agile environment expertise required) partners with Finance stakeholders to deliver user-focused SAP solutions that drive business value, translates business needs into functional requirements, manages the FICO backlog, works closely with agile teams to deliver improvements, and acts as a key liaison between business and IT to ensure clear communication, support solution design, and continuously enhance processes within a public sector environment. Job Title: 29954-RFR-DTS-059 - Business Analyst – SAP FICO Office Location: Remote (with primary onsite location at 215 Garry Street, Winnipeg, Manitoba) Business Days: Up to 24 months (6-month initial term + up to 18-month renewal(s); exceptional circumstances may extend beyond 24 months) Working Hours: 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM CST (7.25 hours per day), Monday to Friday Engagement Type: Contract / Consulting Services and Deliverables All Services will be performed on-site with primary location at 215 Garry Street, Winnipeg, in the province of Manitoba, regardless of the location of residence of the Proponent's resource. The service location may change as part of STATEMENT OF WORK between Proponent and Manitoba. Manitoba at its sole discretion may provide an option to work remotely.
- Remote hourly rate: Rate at which resource will work primarily remotely and called onsite if needed at Manitoba's sole discretion
- Onsite hourly rate: Rate at which resource will work primarily onsite as per location defined in STATEMENT OF WORK and may work remotely if needed with prior written permission from Manitoba at its sole discretion
Standard working hours: 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM CST (7.25 hours per day), Monday to Friday. Manitoba offices are closed on all Manitoba statutory holidays (unpaid). Extended working hours may be needed for project deadlines (exceptional circumstances, requires advanced written approval). Overtime cannot be billed without advanced written approval from Manitoba. Additional Requirements
- Successful Service Provider must provide a cell phone to resource at its own cost
- Hardware/software details provided in final STATEMENT OF WORK
- Manitoba pays only for time worked on assigned projects; waiting time (e.g., for approvals/signoff) is not billable
- Resource must provide outcome-based value; no billing for repetitive rework (one or two feedbacks/rework allowed)
- If services discontinued by Proponent, transition cost borne by Proponent. If Manitoba requests resource change, transition cost borne by Manitoba
Skill Requirements/QualificationsMandatory Qualifications:
- Clean criminal record check at proponent's expense prior to arriving onsite or working remotely. Maintaining clean status required throughout contract. Enhanced background check may be required on certain projects.
Minimum Experience & Education
- BS/BA Degree or equivalent work experience
- SAP S/4 HANA experience in FICO domains & RTR product area(s): Minimum 7 years
- As SAP S/4 FICO Business Analyst: 5+ years
- Public Sector experience: 3+ years direct experience
Agile & Collaboration
- Worked in an agile environment to develop user stories and requirements in collaboration across diverse Departmental businesses, backend systems, technologies, and architecture
- Includes stakeholder communication management and backlog preparation
Technical Product Knowledge
- Technical product knowledge or specific domain expertise with SAP ECC and S/4, as well as subject matter knowledge within products and business processes related to FICO
- SAP S/4HANA FICO expertise including:
- System configuration
- Functional specification writing
- Unit testing & UAT test script writing
- Demonstrated success to influence strategic vision while executing tactical needs of product (leading without a title)
Soft Skills
- Excellent detailed written and verbal communication skills, possibly including user interface documentation skills
- Excellent teamwork skills especially with people less skilled in communication
- Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority
- Ability to influence and work collaboratively with development teams
- Demonstrated success in maximizing product value by releasing products that meet and exceed business objectives
Implementation Experience
- Experience with implementing SAP S4/HANA environment
