Neegan Burnside Ltd. is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Water/Wastewater Engineer to join our Winnipeg office. This leadership-focused position is ideal for a professional engineer with a passion for mentoring others and building strong client relationships. The successful candidate will lead and support a variety of municipal water and wastewater projects, while playing a key role in expanding our engineering services and client base across Manitoba and Northwestern Ontario. What You’ll Do
- Lead multidisciplinary project teams as Lead Engineer or Project Manager.
- Oversee the planning, design, and implementation of water/wastewater infrastructure projects.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior staff and engineers.
- Prepare and review technical reports, proposals, schedules, and design documentation.
- Conduct feasibility studies, environmental assessments, condition assessments, and asset management planning.
- Actively manage client relationships, stakeholder engagement, and project delivery.
- Represent the firm at industry events, conferences, and client meetings.
- Support business development initiatives and contribute to strategic growth efforts.
What You Bring
- Licensed Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) in Manitoba, or eligible for registration.
- Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in consulting and municipal water/wastewater design.
- Strong knowledge of municipal infrastructure systems and regulatory requirements.
- Proven project management skills with attention to timelines and budgets.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and technical writing abilities.
- Demonstrated success in client engagement and team development.
Preferred Skills And Assets
- Experience with vertical (e.g., pumping stations, treatment facilities) and horizontal (e.g., pipe networks) infrastructure.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, BIM, REVIT, or MicroStation.
- Experience with civil site planning and design.
- Familiarity working with Indigenous clients and communities.
