Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for a Concrete Foreman at Rego Construction, located in Ottawa, ON. The Concrete Foreman will oversee and coordinate construction site operations, manage work crews, and ensure safety protocols are followed. Day-to-day tasks include supervising concrete forming, pouring, and finishing, performing quality checks, managing equipment, addressing maintenance needs, and effectively communicating with team members to complete projects on schedule and within budget. The role requires a hands-on approach and collaboration with both the team and management to achieve project goals.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in supervisory roles and team leadership.
  • Strong knowledge of operating and managing heavy equipment used in construction projects.
  • Proficiency in carpentry techniques and general construction practices.
  • Experience in performing routine maintenance and ensuring proper equipment functionality.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members and management.
  • Thorough knowledge of safety protocols and regulations in construction environments.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings is an asset.
  • A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a similar role is preferred.
