Role Descriptions:
Soft Skills & Competencies
• Number of years of BA experience (10+ has been the preferred amount of time due to the maturity of soft skills).
• End-to-end requirements experience
o Channel applications
o Backend applications
• Retail Banking experience – 5+ yrs of exp - Personal and small business accounts (chequing, savings), Lending & credit products (mortgages, loans, lines of credit), Cards (debit, credit)
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Strong analytical and problem solving abilities
• Ability to explain complex concepts to non technical audiences
• High attention to detail and quality
• Comfortable working in fast paced, change driven environments
• QA / testing collaboration experience
• Good understanding and experience with Agile and Waterfall
• Concise answers to a variety of questions.

c. How do they handle unsuccessful outcomes.
d. How they get up to speed.
e. Technical Depth of their experience. Do they have an in-depth understanding of their systems’ ecosystems.
Business & Stakeholder Engagement
• Partner with Retail Banking stakeholders (Product, Operations, Compliance, Digital, Branch, Contact Centre)
• Elicit, analyze, and document business requirements using interviews, workshops, and process walkthroughs
• Facilitate requirement validation and sign off with business and technology teams
• Act as the primary point of contact for requirement clarification throughout the delivery lifecycle
Requirements & Analysis
• Create high quality documentation, including:
o Business Requirements Documents (BRD)
o Functional Requirements / User Stories
o Process Flows & Journey Maps
o Data mappings and business rules
• Perform impact analysis for change requests and regulatory initiatives
• Translate regulatory and policy changes into system and process requirements
Solution & Delivery Support
• Collaborate with Technology, Architecture, UX, and QA teams to ensure solutions meet business intent
• Support Agile and Waterfall delivery models
• Participate in sprint planning, backlog refinement, and sprint reviews (Agile)
• Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) by:
o Defining acceptance criteria
o Supporting test scenario creation
o Assisting with defect triage and resolution
• Customer onboarding & KYC
• Digital banking platforms (mobile & online)
• Payments & transfers
• Branch and contact centre operations
