Tax and Financial Planning Advisor How does the role impact the organization? We are seeking a Tax and Financial Planning Advisor to join an established wealth management advisory practice. The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of five years of experience as a CPA and demonstrate a strong interest in working within an environment where their expertise and professional insights are highly valued. This role involves direct engagement with the families we serve, providing support with ongoing tax compliance and comprehensive financial planning. The position is well-suited to an individual who values work–life balance, as overtime is not expected outside of limited peak filing periods. There is no requirement to bring or develop a client base as part of this role. However, candidates with an existing practice may wish to explore the potential for consolidation as part of the opportunity. How does the role impact the organization?
- Preparation, review, and filing of personal client T1 and T3 tax returns that ensures compliance with CRA requirements and firm standards. T2 work could be involved depending on the candidate.
- Client Engagement: Act as the primary point of contact for clients, providing guidance and updates throughout the tax preparation process.
- Filing and Compliance: Ensure timely filing of returns and adherence to CRA regulations and internal policies.
- Process improvement: Implement best practices and leverage electronic tools to streamline workflows.
- Ongoing financial planning – both tax and non-tax clients.

- CPA designation or equivalent in good standing strongly preferred.
- CFP or other planning related designations; or a desire to attain these credentials.
- Minimum of five years experience in tax preparation and review.
- Strong leadership, organizational and communication skills.
- Proficiency with tax software and electronic filing systems including Profile tax software an asset.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office software.
- Experience with Conquest planning software an asset.

Salary Range: $85,000 - $95,000 annually, in addition to competitive performance bonuses/incentives. Actual compensation will be determined based on skills, experience, internal equity, and other job requirements. This posting is for an existing vacancy.
