Senior Business Analyst - Salesforce
Job Description
Posted on: March 24, 2026
- Contract Length: Full-time, permanent (ongoing) position
- Location: Vancouver, British Columbia
Raise is currently hiring a Senior Business Analyst - Salesforce on behalf of our client. They’re expanding their team to meet growing needs, making this a unique opportunity to work with an industry leader. Description As a Senior Business Analyst, you will serve as the critical Technical Bridge between university stakeholders and the development team. This is a "Platform-First" role designed for a practitioner who views Salesforce not just as a tool, but as a strategic architecture. You will initially lead the high-stakes Graduate Student Experience Transformation, tackling the replacement of Admissions systems and the modernization of over 130 manual workflows. Following this, you will transition to driving the broader Enterprise CRM Roadmap, ensuring long-term scalability and minimal technical debt across the institution. Responsibilities
- Technical Discovery & Transformation: Lead the discovery phase for Admissions replacement and the digital transformation of 130+ manual administrative processes into streamlined Salesforce workflows.
- Critical Data Gap Analysis: Identify and map essential data currently residing in local silos (e.g., Supervisor roles) that are missing from core systems like Workday, ensuring data integrity across the ecosystem.
- Platform Gatekeeping: Conduct rigorous "Fit-Gap" analyses. You are expected to challenge requirements that necessitate custom code by demonstrating and advocating for Out-of-the-Box (OOTB) functionality.
- RFP & Vendor Accountability: Drive the technical components of RFPs for Implementation Partners. Define functional scope with precision to ensure vendor delivery aligns with university standards.
- Technical Traceability & Validation: Manage the end-to-end traceability of requirements through to technical validation and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
- Roadmap Alignment: Proactively monitor Salesforce’s tri-annual releases to identify new features that can replace custom builds, keeping the platform modern and sustainable.
Candidate Profile
- We are looking for a professional who prioritizes platform integrity over "order-taking." The ideal candidate thrives in decentralized environments and possesses the architectural oracularity to prevent the replication of legacy workflows within a modern CRM.
Qualifications
- 10+ years of Business Analysis experience with a proven track record as a Lead BA on at least one major, recent Salesforce implementation.
- Expert-level skills in requirements elicitation, data mapping, and process modeling. Ability to produce data-backed artifacts, including Persona Inventories and Journey Maps, in ambiguous environments.
- Demonstrated ability to lead complex "Product Discovery" sprints with a large, decentralized group of stakeholders, driving consensus toward unified, scalable requirements.
- Exceptional ability to translate complex business logic into precise functional, system, and program specifications.
- Education and Certifications
- Undergraduate degree in a relevant discipline (e.g., Computer Science, Business Administration, Management Information Systems, or Engineering)
- Active Salesforce certifications are mandatory (e.g., Certified Business Analyst, Administrator, or Education Cloud Consultant).
