Job Description

My client, a leading Microsoft Partner, is seeking a D365 Business Central Consultant Developer who combines strong manufacturing domain knowledge with both functional consulting and hands-on development skills. This is a key role in their agile project delivery team, designed for someone who thrives in fast-paced environments and enjoys delivering high-impact solutions without unnecessary process delays.

You’ll join a collaborative team that operates across multiple projects, providing targeted expertise in Business Central implementations — especially within Manufacturing and Operations. With continued investment in their Dynamics 365 practice, this role is instrumental in shortening delivery cycles by bridging the gap between consulting and development.

Remote-first with occasional travel to client sites as needed (Canada-based candidates only & Must Speak French).Role & Responsibilities

• Collaborate with functional and technical teams to analyze, design, and develop solutions directly within Business Central (BC)
• Lead and support manufacturing-focused implementations, especially across Production, Warehousing, and Supply Chain modules
• Engage directly with stakeholders to gather requirements and convert them into code — skipping formal spec handoffs
• Operate as a project resource pool, jumping into key client projects for targeted development work (typically ~4-hour tasks)
• Maintain and enhance BC functionality to align with operational needs, with a focus on agile delivery
• Support solution architecture, testing, deployment, and post-go-live stabilization
• Ensure adherence to Microsoft best practices in both development and configuration
• Stay current on Business Central updates and proactively apply relevant features to client solutions

Skills & Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience with Dynamics 365 Business Central (BC/NAV) — both functional and technical
• Proven experience in manufacturing operations, ideally in implementation or process improvement roles
• Comfortable coding in AL and customizing Business Central without heavy supervision
• Background in functional consulting, especially around:
• Production Orders
• Routing & BOMs
• MRP/MPS
• Shop Floor Control
• Experience working in agile project environments
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to take a concept from idea to execution
• Confident working with cross-functional teams and directly with clients
• Self-directed, adaptable, and able to thrive in a fluid, multi-project workload
