Are you a skilled Service Designer passionate about human-centred design and digital transformation?
We’re hiring multiple Service Designers to join innovative, cross-functional teams working on transformative digital projects that improve public services.
📍 Location: Primarily Remote (Canada-based) with occasional meetings in Edmonton, AB
📅 Contract: Up to 24 months, full-time, flexible hours based on project needs
🕒 Schedule: Flexible, aligned with project demands
👥 Openings: Multiple positions available
🔧 What You’ll Do:
✔️ Apply human-centred design and agile methodologies to program reviews and digital transformation projects
✔️ Conduct user and behavioral field research, co-design workshops, and usability testing
✔️ Create service journey maps, blueprints, prototypes, and user stories
✔️ Analyze service performance and report findings with actionable insights
✔️ Collaborate closely with product owners, executives, and front-line staff to co-develop new processes and policies
✔️ Support change management initiatives to integrate new solutions into existing operations
✔️ Participate in sprint planning, backlog refinement, and cross-functional team activities
✔️ Deliver iterative project outcomes that enhance efficiency, accessibility, and user satisfaction
💡 Key Skills You Bring:
✅ 2+ years of experience in service design research and outputs
✅ 2+ years working within cross-functional, Agile product teams
✅ Strong skills in user research, co-design, prototyping, and journey mapping
✅ Experience in change management and organizational design
✅ Ability to work independently and collaboratively in remote and hybrid settings
✅ Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
🌟 Bonus Points For:
🔹 Experience with public sector or government digital transformation projects
🔹 Familiarity with human-centred design tools and modern data practices
🔹 Experience conducting field research and user interviews in diverse environments
