About The Work Environment Peoples Group offers a flexible and hybrid work environment. In this role you will work a combination of in-office and remotely from home. Typically, you'll be working regular business hours, Monday to Friday between 8:00am and 4:30pm with flexibility around start & end times. About You You are a highly motivated and skilled Deposit Administrator able perform a variety of administrative duties that includes non-client facing account openings, deposit processing, reconciliations and serves as a resource person when the team requires assistance. A proven record in teamwork, efficient delivery, trouble shooting and experience working in the financial services industry is a plus. About You / Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in administrative and/or customer service role with Financial Services experience
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Exceptional dispute resolution skills
  • Commitment to providing a high standard of service
  • Demonstrated ability to deal with clients and solve problems effectively
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Effective organizational and time management skills
  • Adaptable and able to work well under pressure and deadlines with minimal supervision
  • Ability to multi-task and maintain a commitment to accuracy and timeliness
  • A self-starter who can work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong computer skills with proficiency in Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Experience with the DNA Platform/Fiserv and/or PPLUS an asset

About The Day-to-day

  • Accurately process new client account openings while complying with Peoples Account Opening policies and procedures along with adhering to AML/KYC compliance
  • Accurately process registered and non-registered account applications
  • Accurately process new Business Account Openings relating to chequing or non-chequing products
  • Ensure department policies and procedures (i.e., privacy protection, AML/KYC) are followed when providing service to clients and performing account maintenance
  • Perform financial adjustments and non-financial maintenance when necessary to ensure that customer and business expectations are met
  • Answer client questions regarding the new Client or Account opening application
  • Keep up to date with new legislation regarding Peoples Groups Deposit products and services
  • Maintain knowledge of regulatory and AML/KYC compliance impacting your day-to-day work
  • Back-office functions relating to various daily GL Reconciliations, Return Items, Wire transfers, departmental DNA postings
  • Agents – includes Agent registrations, re-registrations, transactional postings, and month-end responsibilities – commission payments, reporting
  • Responsible to ensure work is balanced at end of day
  • Trouble shoot requests from CSRs on issues relating to banking system, account opening or related administration tasks
  • Participate and assist with any new upgrades to the DNA banking platform
  • Assist with the development of procedures and processes where appropriate
  • Administrative tasks – filing, uploading documents to portal, scanning, etc.
  • Responsible to ensure coverage of primary responsibilities are met when out of office
  • Team player who supports the team in all day-to-day assigned duties and responsibilities
