As part of continued growth in the mission-critical and digital infrastructure sector, the firm is expanding its data centre project delivery group. This team supports large-scale data centre developments, including colocation facilities, hyperscale campuses, electrical infrastructure projects, and other mission-critical facilities.

About the Role

Our client is seeking a Senior Project Manager, Data Centre Delivery to lead the planning, execution, and delivery of large-scale mission-critical infrastructure projects.

This role is suited to an experienced project leader with a background in data centres, mission-critical facilities, industrial infrastructure, electrical infrastructure, or complex EPCM project environments. The successful candidate will manage multidisciplinary engineering teams, contractors, vendors, client stakeholders, and project partners through the full project lifecycle.

This position requires the ability to manage significant capital projects, aggressive schedules, multiple stakeholders, and complex technical deliverables while maintaining focus on safety, quality, cost, schedule, and client satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead large-scale data centre, mission-critical, and infrastructure projects from planning through engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, and closeout.
• Develop project charters, execution plans, schedules, budgets, forecasts, risk registers, and reporting systems.
• Manage multidisciplinary engineering teams across civil, structural, mechanical, electrical, controls, commissioning, and specialty consultant groups.
• Coordinate with clients, contractors, vendors, utility providers, regulatory agencies, and internal project teams.
• Lead project meetings and maintain clear communication with stakeholders at all levels.
• Monitor project performance against scope, budget, schedule, safety, quality, and client objectives.
• Manage project risks, issue resolution, change management, and mitigation planning.
• Oversee procurement activities, including vendor selection, bid evaluations, contract negotiations, and equipment delivery schedules.
• Support construction management and commissioning activities to help ensure successful project delivery.
• Provide leadership, mentoring, and direction to project engineers, coordinators, and project team members.
• Prepare executive-level reports, project forecasts, client presentations, and project updates.
• Support client relationship management, business development, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Core Competencies

• 10 to 15 years of project management experience with large industrial, infrastructure, mission-critical, or data centre projects.
• Direct experience with data centre, hyperscale, colocation, mission-critical, electrical infrastructure, or complex facility projects is strongly preferred.
• EPCM project delivery experience across engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning phases.
• Strong understanding of project controls, scheduling, budgeting, forecasting, cost control, risk management, and contract administration.
• Ability to lead multidisciplinary technical teams and manage complex stakeholder relationships.
• Commercial experience with procurement strategy, contractor management, contract negotiation, and project financial performance.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work with executive leadership, clients, contractors, vendors, and project teams.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, project scheduling tools, project controls systems, and reporting platforms.
• Strong leadership, decision-making, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Ability to operate independently while managing broad project objectives and strategic business goals.

Education and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, or a related technical discipline.
• P.Eng., PMP, or an equivalent project management certification is considered a strong asset.
• Senior-level project management experience in EPCM, construction, engineering consulting, infrastructure, data centre, mission-critical, or industrial project environments.
