About Pawline Co.
Pawline Co. is a Vancouver-based premium pet technology company building three product lines: the STRIDE Smart Harness, Dogsmetics, an organic Bio-Match pH grooming line formulated from canine biology, and Fashion Apparel.
Founded in December 2025 we operate an interdisciplinary team of engineers, formulation chemists, designers, and researchers. We are in active partnership with Natural Products Canada, the Canadian Trade Commissioner Service, Spring Impact Accelerator, and the New Ventures BC Competition.
About The Role
We are looking for a Software and Industrial Designer to help us launch the first seasonal apparel collection. You will work directly alongside the COO to translate our design vision — coordinated apparel for owners and their pets — into a cohesive, technically grounded collection.
This is a hands-on role for someone who can move from concept to spec package, who treats canine ergonomics as a design constraint worth solving, and who understands that comfort is structural — not decorative.
What You'll Do
Industrial Design
- Create wireframes and design assets as needed
- Provide feedback on UX/UI
- Support creation of our digital prototypes
- Assist in research of new technologies and materials that could be incorporated into our designs
Software Development
- Write and review JavaScript, Wix APIs, and Frontend code across our website
- Assist in debugging front and back end development tasks
- Work with the COO to identify development opportunities and priorities
- Brainstorm and implement improvements to existing code
What We're Looking For
Required
- Genuine passion for the wellbeing of animals and pets
- STEM background, with either relevant experience or education in software development
- Strong understanding of common coding languages (such as JavaScript, Wix APIs, and Frontend )
- Clear, direct communication style and ability to manage own deliverables remotely
Nice to Have
- Pet apparel or dog accessory experience is a plus but no fashion industry experience required
- Transferable skills are valued
How to Apply
Please apply through this platform, or send the following to the address below:
- CV or resume
- A short note (3-5 sentences) on why this role interests you and one project from your portfolio that best maps to what we're building. Feel free to attach a link to your github or personal website.
This role is unpaid, but we offer part-time hours, a flexible work schedule, and we are a fully remote workplace. We review applications on a rolling basis. Shortlisted candidates will be invited to a first round conversation with our COO, followed by a second round with our CEO.
Pawline Co. is committed to building an interdisciplinary team. We welcome applications from candidates of all backgrounds, identities, and lived experiences. If you require accommodations during the application or interview process, please let us know.
