Position Overview We are seeking an experience Senior Marketing Representative to support our crude oil and NGL marketing activities. Reporting to the Vice President Marketing, the Senior Marketing Representative will be a key member of a small, collaborative marketing team responsible for supporting Paramount’s current and future liquids marketing business. The successful candidate will work closely with internal and external stakeholders to optimize commodity value, negotiate commercial agreements, maintain and enhance existing commercial relationships, and identify opportunities to improve and expand marketing activities. This role requires strong commercial acumen, market knowledge, analytical capabilities, and the ability to effectively manage multiple priorities in a dynamic energy marketing environment. Key Responsibilities
- Contribute to the development and execution of short and long-term marketing strategies that support corporate objectives.
- Market and schedule equity crude oil, condensate, and NGL production volumes to maximize netbacks,
- Negotiate commodity purchase and sale agreements, transportation contracts, and related commercial agreements.
- Identify and execute marketing opportunities to maximize commodity value and support business objectives.
- Maintain and enhance facility optimization models that maximize financial performance.
- Collaborate with operations, accounting, and asset teams to ensure efficient execution of marketing activities consistent with corporate strategy.
- Monitor and analyze domestic and global energy market developments, including commodity pricing, supply-demand fundamentals, transportation and infrastructure constraints, and regulatory changes.
- Prepare and present commercial reports, forecasts, market updates, and strategic recommendations to management, senior leadership, and cross-functional stakeholders to support business objectives and commercial strategy.
- Provide strategic recommendations to maximize value realization, market access, and commercial performance.
- Support contract administration and ensure compliance with internal policies and controls.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Business Economics, Finance, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- 7+ years of experience in crude oil, condensate, or NGL marketing.
- Strong understand of Western Canadian energy markets, commodity pricing, transportation logistics, and market fundamentals.
- Strong commercial orientation with exceptional analytical, organizational, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated intellectual curiosity and a proactive approach to identifying opportunities and solving business challenges, and providing clear, actionable recommendations to management and senior leadership.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management abilities.
- Self-motivated, accountable, and results-oriented, with the ability to work independently and thrive in a fast-paced team environment.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial or commercial modeling tools.
