- _Protect the safety of persons and their belongings on LSO property_
- _Prevent and minimize fire, theft, vandalism, criminal damage, and trespass on LSO property_
- _Parking enforcement: including but not limited to the tagging/towing of unauthorized vehicles, and calling out contractors for snow removal._
- _Prohibit entry into secure areas of the property by anyone other than authorized persons determined by an authorized LSO administrator._
- _Complete interior and exterior patrol rounds of the property including documentation of conditions/safety concerns and weather reports as required._
- _Enforcement of smoke-free property policies_
- _Monitor security consoles (access control, secure elevator, and CCTV video monitors)_
- _Visitor and employee identification verification_
- _Complete incident reports, logs, and daily operating reports_
- _Issue and control access cards and keys to personnel, contractors, and visitors when required_
- _Lock and unlock doors as scheduled or required_
- _Report any unusual incidents or hazardous conditions_
- _Maintain a log of security incidents and report occurrences_
- _Document, secure, and manage lost and found property and property safekeeping_
- _Security personnel will provide safety escort services to emergency contractors on LSO property when required_
- _Advise LSO staff immediately of any notifiable incidents_
- _Assist with the management of any aggressive visitors (physically and verbally)_
- _Attend every event or incident, which they reasonably consider may jeopardize the security of the Facility and provide a high level of customer service._
- _Following SOPs with the management of illicit substances and or weapons; securing the location of any found items._
- _Document all events in a notebook or electronic incident report_
- _Other duties as required/requested_
Requirements & Qualifications
- Must have a Valid Ontario Security Guard License
- Legally authorized to work in Canada
- Must have a Valid WSIB Approved First Aid and CPR Level C Certification.
- Minimum Have a minimum of One Year of Experience in Security
- Must be proficient in English (both oral and written)
