About the Mobile Engineering Manager Vacancy:

To oversee the team that develops and maintains a suite of mobile applications that power end-user and admin functions, they are seeking a Mobile Engineering Manager.

In this position, you will collaborate closely with partner engineering teams, product managers, QA, UX, and others who are involved in the development of features within their apps. You will also be responsible for the execution, deployment, and quality of their apps.

Responsibilities:

• Engineering Management: Oversee skilled mobile engineers to achieve strategic objectives in line with the features, services, and functionality they provide for their main products.

• Release Management: Oversee the preparation, implementation, and dissemination of code and configuration releases for mobile applications.

• Process Improvements: Constantly find and apply ways to make their release procedures, tools, and approaches—including customer-facing interfaces and procedures—better.

• Technical Improvements: As a technical manager with prior practical development experience, use in-depth technical knowledge to lead the design and strategic direction of our internal tooling and mobile app software.

• QA Collaboration: When deploying new code, work collaboratively with their Quality Assurance team to thoroughly assess system health.

• Cross-Functional Coordination: To coordinate release timelines and priorities, cooperate with the engineering, product, and support teams.

• Mobile App Health Monitoring: Keep an eye on the functionality and health of their published mobile apps, spotting patterns and quickly fixing any problems.

Ideal Requirements for the Mobile Engineering Manager Vacancy:

• Experience: Demonstrated expertise as a Team Lead, Engineering Manager, Release Manager, or equivalent position in the development of mobile applications.

• Leadership: Guiding software/mobile engineers to effectively achieve set objectives.

• Technical Skills: Over 7 years of practical experience in mobile platform development using technologies like Swift, Objective-C, Kotlin, Java, and React Native. Familiarity with build systems, CI/CD workflows, and configuration management. Familiarity with creating and disseminating mobile SDKs. Familiarity with cloud technologies, Restful APIs, and relational databases is advantageous.

• AI/Automation: Proficient in utilizing AI tools and possess a solid grasp of recognizing and applying AI-generated opportunities within mobile development environments and processes.

• Problem-Solving: Robust analytical and problem-solving abilities emphasizing root cause identification and preventive strategies. In-depth experience analyzing mobile app metrics (such as performance, adoption, and usage patterns), crash reports, and logging to proactively detect and resolve existing and possible future problems.

• Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities, capable of conveying intricate technical details clearly to various audiences.

• Teamwork: A cooperative individual who excels in a joint setting and is capable of forming solid connections throughout various departments.

• Focus on Precision: Careful focus on precision and a dedication to providing high-quality, reliable releases.

Nice-to-Have:

• Experience with hardware and Bluetooth technology.

• Knowledge of network protocols and IoT devices.

• Familiarity with access control systems or security products.

• Familiarity with video streaming and related technologies.
