Tow Truck Driver & Roadside Assistance Personnel
Ontario Towing is searching for a dependable and experienced tow truck driver to join our growing team. This role is essential to our daily operations and requires a strong focus on safety, professionalism, and customer care. As a tow truck driver, you will be responsible for safely transporting vehicles, assisting motorists in stressful situations, and representing our company with integrity and respect.

Responsibilities include:Vehicle Towing & Recovery
- Safely operate flatbed tow trucks and other towing equipment
- Load, secure, transport, and unload vehicles safely
- Perform accident recovery and winch-outs when necessary
- Tow vehicles involved in collisions or breakdowns
- Transport vehicles to repair facilities, customer locations, or storage yards
- Handle specialty vehicles, including low-clearance cars and damaged vehicles
Roadside Assistance
- Provide battery boosts and jump starts
- Perform vehicle lockout assistance
- Deliver emergency fuel to stranded motorists
- Assist with tire changes when safe to do so
- Diagnose basic vehicle issues to determine the appropriate solution
Safety & Compliance
- Follow all Ontario towing regulations and safety standards
- Maintain compliance with company policies and industry regulations
- Ensure vehicles are properly secured before transport
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of tow trucks and equipment
- Follow safe driving practices at all times
Customer Service Excellence
- Communicate professionally with customers at roadside scenes
- Explain services clearly and answer customer questions
- Remain calm and respectful during stressful situations
- Maintain a helpful and professional attitude with customers and partners
- Represent Ontario Towing with professionalism and integrity
Documentation & Dispatch Communication
- Communicate regularly with dispatch regarding call updates
- Record service details accurately for each call
- Complete necessary documentation and service reports
- Maintain clear communication regarding vehicle drop-off locations
Equipment & Vehicle Care
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of assigned tow truck
- Ensure equipment is functional and properly stored
- Report mechanical issues or equipment problems immediately
- Maintain a professional vehicle appearance
Requirements
- Valid Tow Truck Driver Certificate with a clean driving record
- Previous experience in commercial driving, towing, or automotive repair is an asset
- Strong mechanical knowledge of vehicle systems and towing equipment
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to remain calm and professional under pressure
- Knowledge of local traffic laws and safety regulations
- Physically capable of lifting heavy objects and performing manual labor as required
- Availability for evenings, weekends, and emergency calls
- Strong situational awareness and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
- Comfortable working in all weather conditions

Work Schedule

Work Location: In person
Pay: CA$21.00-CA$30.00 per hour
