NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is one of the largest healthcare systems in the UK employing around 40,000 staff in a wide range of clinical and non-clinical professions and job roles. We deliver acute hospital, primary, community and mental health care services to a population of over 1.15 million and a wider population of 2.2 million when our regional and national services are included. The post holder will be responsible for carrying out the day to day technical operations within the Immunology and Neuroimmunology lab based at the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital. Candidates must be registered as a Biomedical Scientist with the Health Care Professions Council. Experience of working within an Immunology or Neuroimmunology diagnostic laboratory, or experience on techniques or methods used within Immunology/Neuroimmunology would be highly desirable. The post holder will have a fundamental role in the lab and will rotate round sections of the laboratory performing a range of manual and automated diagnostic tests. The post holder may be required to complete a specialist portfolio in Clinical Immunology if they do not already have this. This is a part time post, working 32 hours a week over Monday to Friday.

This is initially a 1 year fixed term post, starting on 1/4/2026. There is a requirement to participate in a weekend and public holiday on call rota after appropriate training.
