Job Title: Project ManagerJob Description:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Project Manager to lead and manage a range of IT and business projects. The successful candidate will have a strong background in project planning, delivery, and financial management, with an emphasis on maintaining scope, schedule, and cost controls. This role requires a highly organized individual capable of managing cross-functional teams, tracking key project milestones, and ensuring all stakeholders are aligned throughout the project lifecycle. The Project Manager will also be responsible for ensuring that systems of record are kept up-to-date, monitoring project financials, and handling change control processes effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Planning & Execution:
  • Develop comprehensive project plans, ensuring all stakeholders clearly understand the scope, approach, and key deliverables. Track critical milestones and manage the baseline critical path.
  • Stakeholder Management:
  • Coordinate with all relevant stakeholders to ensure clear communication and alignment on project objectives. Facilitate regular status updates and meetings to keep everyone informed.
  • Financial Management:
  • Ensure accurate representation of project financials (budgets, forecasts, and actuals) within the Enterprise Portfolio Management System. Track costs and manage financial performance, ensuring the project remains within scope and budget.
  • Project Monitoring & Reporting:
  • Monitor project progress in terms of cost, schedule, and risk. Communicate updates regularly to senior management and stakeholders, highlighting any issues or risks that may impact delivery.
  • Risk & Issue Management:
  • Proactively identify and assess potential risks, issues, and changes in scope. Lead efforts to mitigate risks and resolve issues to avoid project delays.
  • Change Control:
  • Oversee and ensure proper change control procedures are followed to maintain control over project scope, schedule, and budget. Ensure that any changes to the project are well-documented and communicated.
  • Post-Implementation Review:
  • Lead post-implementation reviews to evaluate project performance, identify lessons learned, and integrate those lessons into future projects for continuous improvement.
  • Documentation & Reporting:
  • Maintain up-to-date documentation on project status, financials, and other relevant metrics. Ensure systems of record for project reporting are current and accurate.

Required Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, Finance, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • Experience: Prior relevant IT and business work experience. Experience as a Programmer/Senior Programmer Analyst and/or Service Delivery Engineer is a plus.
  • Financial Acumen: Strong understanding of project financials, including budgets, forecasts, and actuals, with the ability to represent these accurately within an Enterprise Portfolio Management System.
  • Functional Experience: Experience in functional business domains, with the ability to translate business requirements into effective project plans and delivery strategies.

  • Proven experience in managing multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
  • Experience in project management tools, including those for tracking financials and reporting (Enterprise Portfolio Management Systems).
