Production / Business Accountant

We’re seeking an Accountant who has experience working in film/TV but is looking for stability in a more dynamic office culture vs show-to-show contracts.

This role oversees all financial operations at Moon7 Films, spanning production accounting, corporate bookkeeping, and financial planning. Responsibilities include managing end-to-end accounting for each project, maintaining ledgers and cost reports, processing payroll, vendor payments, and tax credit filings, and ensuring compliance with CRA, CAVCO, and BC film incentive requirements. The position also develops cash flow models, financial forecasts, and standardized reporting for executives while implementing internal controls and efficient workflows. Additional duties involve administering accounting systems, supporting audits, and maintaining SOPs for financial operations. Success in this role requires expertise in film accounting practices, Canadian tax incentives, advanced spreadsheet and budgeting skills, and strong communication with both creative and business teams.
