Position Title: Sales Analyst - Canada Retail Position Type: Regular - Full-Time Grade: Grade 04 Requisition ID: 40792 About The Role. Reporting to the Director, Retail Sales, the position of Retail Sales Analyst will provide analytical support for specified customer teams to improve process efficiency and overall sales effectiveness. The incumbent will also play an integral role in coordinating the many facets of the business with JBP management, Reporting, Supply Chain, Finance and Marketing. This position is based out of the Toronto Sales office located in downtown Toronto. What you’ll be doing.
- Develop and maintain standard reports to monitor the businesses including but not limited to: MTD (Month To Date) reports vs forecasts, On orders for timing, gaps to expectations, Forecasts vs AOC (Annual Operating Commitment/Budget), Consumption data (Nielsen or Customer proprietary data), Promotional Activity
- Analyze and monitor scorecards using Customer specific Data tools (eg. LDIA, Retail link, etc)
- Coordinate changes forecasts in the Promotional Planning System with Demand Planning
- Identify opportunities to improve business performance
- Analyze/optimize results for various activities: promotional, advertisement, demos, etc.
- Assist in preparation of Business Line Reviews and Quarterly Reviews
- Support the Joint Business Plan (JBP) and AOC process through the management template creation and management.
- Assist Customer Development Manager as required on deduction process, forms, sample requests, etc.
- Assist to coordinate Fiscal Planning inputs
- Assume a super-user role for Trade Planning systems
- Broaden Business knowledge through participation in internal Projects
- Ad Hoc requests and other duties as assigned
What you’ll need to be successful.
- University Degree, Commerce or equivalent
- 1-3+ years of retail customer experience (preferred but not required on Loblaw and/or Walmart)
- Strong analytical Background
- Previous work experience in packaged goods industry preferred but not required
- Strong presentation skills, written and oral
- Strong communication skills
- Self-motivated, ability to work independently
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
- Excellent organizational skills with a strong attention to detail
- Experience with AC Nielson Data an asset
