Senior Project Manager

Senior Project Manager Industrial, Commercial & Large-Scale Residential Construction MatchBox Consulting Group is seeking a Senior Project Manager on behalf of a well-established General Contractor with a strong portfolio of industrial, commercial, and large-scale residential projects across British Columbia. This is an opportunity for an experienced construction professional to lead complex projects from pre-construction through closeout. The successful candidate will oversee project financials, schedules, subcontractor coordination, client relationships, and overall project execution while ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget. Key Responsibilities Project Management & Leadership

• Lead projects through all phases of construction, from pre-construction planning to final turnover
• Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, forecasts, and cost reports
• Monitor project performance and proactively manage risks, opportunities, and project challenges
• Ensure project objectives are achieved with respect to schedule, budget, quality, and safety
• Provide leadership, mentorship, and direction to project teams

Financial & Contract Management

• Manage project budgets, cost control, forecasting, and financial reporting
• Review and administer contracts, subcontracts, purchase orders, and change orders
• Negotiate and manage project scope changes and contractual obligations
• Track project costs and ensure financial targets are met throughout the project lifecycle

Client & Stakeholder Management

• Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, consultants, and project stakeholders
• Build and maintain strong working relationships throughout project execution
• Lead project meetings and provide regular updates on project status, schedules, and budgets
• Coordinate with architects, engineers, municipalities, and regulatory authorities as required

Construction Operations

• Collaborate closely with Site Superintendents to ensure efficient project execution
• Manage subcontractor procurement, performance, and coordination
• Review RFIs, shop drawings, submittals, and project documentation
• Ensure compliance with company policies, safety requirements, and regulatory standards

Qualifications

• 10+ years of construction project management experience with a General Contractor
• Proven experience delivering industrial, commercial, institutional, or large-scale residential projects
• Demonstrated success managing multi-million-dollar construction projects from start to finish
• Strong understanding of project financial management, scheduling, procurement, and contract administration
• Experience with CCDC contracts, change management, and project controls
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and construction management software such as Procore, Bluebeam, or similar platforms
• Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
• Degree, diploma, or technical education in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related discipline is considered an asset
• Knowledge of BC permitting, development, and municipal approval processes is considered an asset

Compensation

• Base salary: $120,000 – $145,000 annually
