Contract Professional

Matchbox Consulting Group is seeking a Contract Professional with experience in contract administration, financial reporting, procurement support, and vendor performance management for a 1-year contract with strong renewal potential, supporting one of BC’s largest utility and clean energy organizations. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional who thrives in structured environments, enjoys working cross-functionally, and has experience supporting operational or infrastructure-related contracts from initiation through close-out. This is a hybrid opportunity based in Vancouver, BC. Candidates must be able to work onsite 2 days/week. Remote-only candidates will not be considered. Key Responsibilities

• Perform contract management activities for low to medium complexity contracts supporting ongoing operations and project delivery
• Monitor contract performance, expenditures, and compliance to ensure contractual obligations are met by all parties
• Support financial controls, reporting accuracy, and budget tracking related to contract usage and spend
• Identify risks, issues, and performance gaps, and recommend timely corrective actions
• Prepare clear and accurate reporting related to contract performance, expenditures, and supplier compliance
• Maintain effective working relationships with internal stakeholders, vendors, and supply chain teams
• Provide guidance to stakeholders regarding contract administration, procurement practices, and financial stewardship
• Ensure alignment with governance frameworks, financial control policies, and approved budget requirements
• Support sourcing and procurement initiatives through effective communication, issue resolution, and coordination activities
• Utilize SAP and MS Office applications to support reporting, tracking, and documentation management

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years of contract management experience, including performance and expenditure reporting
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Law, or related discipline, or equivalent experience
• Strong understanding of contract administration, procurement processes, and financial controls
• Experience working within infrastructure, utilities, public sector, or operational environments considered an asset
• Strong project coordination and stakeholder management skills
• Advanced communication skills in professional environments, written and spoken
• Strong working knowledge of project management principles
• Advanced proficiency with SAP and MS Office applications including Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Project
• Strong attention to detail, analytical thinking, and organizational skills
