Maracas Bay Consulting Inc. is supporting a public sector initiative and is looking to engage an experienced incorporated Application Analyst to provide project and delivery support aligned to the client’s business and technology objectives.

Edmonton, Alberta (Onsite – 100% in-person at John E. Brownlee Building)

Mandatory Must Have Experience:

• Post-secondary education and/or relevant Application Analyst experience

• Minimum 1 year of experience in planning and monitoring User Acceptance Testing (UAT)

• Minimum 4 years of experience with ServiceNow or alternative ticketing/ITSM tools

• Minimum 2 years of experience working in Agile/Scrum environments supporting application

development

Nice to Have Experience:

• Experience working in a highly regulated environment (e.g., Government, Healthcare, Legal) – 1+ year

• Experience in Data and Cloud literacy – 1+ year

• Experience with data warehouse and reporting tools – 1+ year

• Experience with ITSM, ServiceNow, Jira, workflow standardization, and documentation – 1+ year

• Strong communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills

Project Details:

This role supports the Court Technology Services (CTS) Applications Management portfolio within a public sector judicial environment. The initiative focuses on modernizing application service delivery, transitioning from legacy systems and ad-hoc processes to standardized ITSM frameworks. The Application Analyst will act as a key liaison between judiciary stakeholders, court operations, and technical teams, ensuring reliable, secure, and scalable application services while supporting cloud and data platform adoption.

Duties:

• Lead implementation of standardized ITSM processes (incident, change, and request management) using tools such as ServiceNow or Jira

• Act as functional lead for incident management, coordinating resolution of critical system outages

• Facilitate change and release management processes to ensure minimal disruption to court operations

• Gather and document business and technical requirements from judicial and operational stakeholders

• Monitor vendor and internal delivery performance against SLAs and quality expectations

• Support data governance, compliance, and secure handling of judicial data

• Provide functional oversight of data platforms (e.g., Snowflake), including access, reporting, and data integrity

• Support application and data migration activities (on-prem to cloud, Dev to Prod environments)

• Identify process improvement opportunities to enhance service reliability and scalability

• Contribute to disaster recovery planning and business continuity testing

• Develop reporting and dashboards to support executive decision-making

• Maintain knowledge repositories including documentation and user guides
