Senior Support Worker

Summary: The Senior Support Worker provides essential, community-based support to seniors living independently in the Lumsden and Craven area. This role ensures older adults maintain their safety, dignity, and quality of life through personalized assistance, advocacy, and coordination of services. The worker is also a liaison between seniors, their families, and relevant service providers, and plays a critical role in encouraging social engagement and community participation. Key Duties:

• Support seniors with daily living needs and errands
• Help organize and facilitate access to programs and events
• Monitor well-being and maintain regular communication with clients and caregivers
• Connect seniors with appropriate resources and services
• Maintain accurate records and report to the Board

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Experience in senior care or community support (preferred)
• Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skill
• sValid driver’s license and reliable transportatio
• nAbility to work independently and adapt to changing needs

Additional Information: This position pays $20/hr and between 20 and 40 hours / week, requiring some flexibility in daily hours hours depending on client needs and events. The position predominantly requires weekday availability but evening and weekend availability may be needed on occasion to meet client needs or to facilitate events or activities.
