Dispatcher - (Full Time) - Delta, BC (Starting Salary - $60,000 Yearly)Primary Purpose This position ensures the correct mix of resources (driver, equipment, etc.) for the efficient delivery of product, maximizing assets, while minimizing distribution costs. Key Accountabilities

  • Preparing, maintaining, evaluating, and updating daily vehicle routes to ensure productive delivery of our products to our customers.
  • Coordinating alternate delivery dates with customer service when required and assisting drivers with in-field problem resolution.
  • Assisting with the management of distribution costs.
  • Playing a key role in safety leadership.
  • Work closely with Packaged Gas Service Representatives (drivers) and the customer service team to ensure timely deliveries to customers in a safe, and efficient manner.
  • Experience in Microsoft Office 365 is an asset.
  • Responsible for reviewing the accuracy of regulatory paperwork, including TDG, Vehicle Inspection Reports, Hours of Service, and quality assurance documents.
  • Accurately handle customer cylinder returns by common courier
  • Assisting Distribution Supervisor with organizing maintenance of fleet of local commercial delivery vehicles and all trailers
  • Maintain contact with drivers on daily routes, including LTL/Common Carriers.
  • Accurate completion of customs documentation
  • Maintaining inventory of driver consumable items
  • Working closely with production supervisor and production staff to ensure product deliveries meet customer expectations
  • Attend JHAS meetings as the driver representative
  • Implementation of new projects, procedures and best practices as required
  • Maintain communication with routing team for updating of customer geo-codes to have accurate delivery information

Qualifications

  • Safety oriented.
  • Customer service oriented
  • Strong teamwork skills
  • Experience with digital logistics systems is an asset.
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds.
  • Ability to Multitask and Problem Solve.
  • Proficient with time management
  • Knowledge of cross border shipping and documentation
  • Experience with managing 3rd party carrier
