Position Overview
The Account Manager is responsible for managing the day-to-day tasks for client accounts, ensuring the smooth execution of Public Relations campaigns. The Account Manager collaborates closely with senior team members to develop and implement strategies, create content, and manage media relations.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the development and execution of PR campaigns for clients across multiple channels (media relations, social media, Influencers, content, etc.)
- Liaise and build strong relationships directly with clients with the support of the senior management team.
- Create strategic communications plans – and lead from concept through execution.
- Create and distribute press materials, including press releases, media advisories, and social media content.
- Monitor media coverage, track key metrics, and report on campaign performance.
- Create and update accurate media lists.
- Build and maintain relationships with media outlets and journalists.
- Coordinate logistics for events, press conferences, and interviews.
- Support the senior account team with administrative tasks and project management.
- Support internal communications plans, including content creation and planning where required.
- Stay informed on industry trends and emerging PR tactics.
- Participate in networking events and foster connections that create opportunities for LBMG, focusing on building relationships and supporting business development through meaningful connections.
Qualifications
- 3-5 years of PR experience, with a strong focus on media relations and content creation.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
- Knowledge of media monitoring tools and PR software.
- Strong understanding of the BC and Canadian media landscape.
- Demonstrated experience with social media tools and strategies.
- Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations, Communications, or a related field.
