Legal Assistant – Real Estate & Wills/Estates | New Law Firm (Hybrid)
📍 Location: Saskatchewan | Hybrid (Work from home + In-office as needed)

As we lay the foundation for our firm’s future, we’re looking for an experienced Legal Assistant to join us and make an immediate impact.
🔎 The Role
We are seeking a skilled and proactive Legal Assistant with proven experience in:
Residential and commercial real estate transactions and conveyancing
Wills and estates planning
Probate and estate administration
You will work directly with the founding lawyer, supporting legal processes from start to finish and ensuring a seamless experience for clients. This is a hybrid position: work from home with the flexibility to come into the office for client meetings or as needed.
✨ Key Responsibilities
Prepare, review, manage, and submit documentation for real estate transactions (purchase, sale, mortgages, etc.)
Use precedents and receive instruction to draft wills, powers of attorney, and other estate planning documents
Open and maintain organized client files and track key dates and deadlines
Manage probate and estate administration files from start to finish
Liaise with clients, realtors, banks, and other stakeholders professionally and promptly
Assist with general administrative tasks to support a growing practice

An entrepreneurial mindset and willingness to help build and grow with a new firm
Ability to work independently and confidently, knowing how to “hit the ground running”
Experience with Unity (real estate conveyancing software), NoticeConnect, Outlook, and other relevant legal tools
Extensive conveyancing experience, with a proven track record of managing real estate closings accurately and efficiently
✅ Requirements
Minimum [2-5] years of experience as a legal assistant in real estate and/or wills & estates
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Proficiency with standard office software (Word, Outlook, etc.)
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
