Summer camp Inventory technician

Job Overview: We are looking for a hands-on, physically active Inventory technician who is not afraid to roll up their sleeves and get to work. This is not a desk job. You will be on the move daily, loading and unloading equipment, preparing supply orders, organizing storage spaces, and driving between camp sites to make sure everything is in the right place at the right time. If you like staying active, working independently, and taking ownership of your work, this role is for you. Responsibilities:

• Physically handle, sort, pack, and move equipment and supplies across multiple camp locations, including lifting boxes and heavy items on a regular basis.
• Load and unload deliveries, organize storage areas, and ensure supplies are properly labeled and easy to locate.
• Prepare and pack inventory orders for each camp site based on activity schedules and camper registrations.
• Drive between locations to drop off and pick up equipment as needed throughout the season.
• Conduct hands-on inventory counts and audits at each site, keeping records accurate and up to date.
• Work closely with location coordinators and managers to anticipate supply needs before they become problems.
• Flag damaged, missing, or low-stock items and take initiative to resolve issues quickly.
• Keep storage spaces clean, organized, and compliant with safety standards.
• Track inventory using Excel or Google Sheets and report on stock levels, usage, and reorder needs.

Qualifications:

• Comfortable performing physical work daily, including lifting, carrying, and moving heavy items (up to 50 lbs).
• Previous experience in a warehouse, logistics, inventory, or similar hands-on role is a strong asset.
• Organized and detail-oriented, with a practical, problem-solving mindset.
• Reliable, self-motivated, and able to manage your time independently across multiple locations.
• Valid driver's license and access to a car, travel between sites is required.
• Proficient in Excel and/or Google Sheets.
• Experience in a camp or youth environment is a plus.
