In this context, the protection, influence, and strategic anticipation.. Strategic RoleReporting To The Presidents, The Incumbent

  • Assumes overall management of the Legal Department and its resources.
  • Proactively contributes to the organization's strategic direction.
  • Protects the interests of the company and its leaders in a context of high legal, political, and reputational stakes.
  • Develops innovative and preventive strategies to secure the Group's growth and sustainability.

Your Main ResponsibilitiesLegal Risk Management and Compliance

  • Oversee business intelligence and ensure compliance of all activities with applicable standards (CMQ, Santé Québec, MSSS, Accreditation Canada, ACPM, etc.).
  • Manage and secure processes related to operating room, clinic, and laboratories.
  • Develop proactive legal, political, and reputational risk management strategies.

Legal Representation and Litigation

  • Ensure, as a priority and strategic measure, the management of disputes related to:
  • medical practice and professional liability,
  • employee and partner contracts,
  • contractual or commercial disputes.
  • Oversee or represent the organization before judicial and administrative bodies, including negotiating settlements Strategic.

Contract Negotiation and Corporate Affairs

  • Oversee and negotiate the organization's strategic agreements:
  • contracts with physicians in Quebec and outside the province,
  • Agreements with suppliers and strategic partners,
  • Financing contracts with financial institutions,
  • Commercial leases and corporate documents.
  • Ensure that all agreements incorporate a legal, commercial, and strategic vision aligned with the objectives growth.

Team Leadership and Internal Governance

  • Lead, develop, and mobilize a team of lawyers and paralegals, with a leadership style focused on performance, rigor, and collaboration.
  • Promote an internal culture of integrity, confidentiality, and collaboration Interdisciplinary.
  • Implement high-level legal governance and contract management tools.

Strategic advice and influence

  • Play a key advisory role to management and decision-making bodies.
  • Assess the impact of legislative and policy changes and anticipate threats to the practice of private medicine in Quebec.
  • Formulate clear, strategic recommendations geared toward sustainable growth.

External Firm Management

  • Optimize the use of external resources while ensuring strategic and budgetary control.

Required Profile

  • Member of the Bar of Quebec in good standing.
  • 15+ years of relevant experience, including a solid background in litigation and strategic consulting in medium- to large-scale organizations.
  • Expertise in health law, corporate law and commercial law, combined with In-depth understanding of the regulatory and political environment of the private healthcare sector.
  • Proven experience leading a legal department, with a proven ability to advise senior management and shareholders on complex strategic decisions.
  • Inspiring leadership and the ability to build a high-level team.
  • Strategic vision and the ability to progress to an executive (VP) role.
  • Recognized skills in high-level negotiation, crisis management, and communication with decision-making and political bodies.

Salary And Benefits Packages

  • Annual Salary: $250,000 to $300,000
