General Responsibilities:
We are looking for a dynamic, results-oriented individual to join our technical sales team based out of Dartmouth, NS. Key focus will be to grow existing accounts and to develop new customers within your region. You must have the ability to build strong relationships with customers and suppliers. We need a problem solver and advisor to the customers on our technical solutions.
Specific Qualifications, Duties and Responsibilities:
- Strong understanding of Technical Sales with the drive to exceed goals
- 5+ years of technical sales and/or business development experience, preferably in the marine industry
- Passion to deliver a collaborative and consultative sales approach, engaging with clients to understand their challenges and identify how and where we can offer solutions
- Ability to build strong relationships with customers including at multiple levels of their organization
- Experience with CRM, prospecting, quotations, pricing, negotiations, closing deals
- Driven to call & meet with customers consistently and keep accurate records in CRM
- Continuously offer a strategic mind-set yet action-oriented approach, delivering day to day diligence while also considering the bigger picture and looking to grow the account
- Strong computer skills with MS Office suite (excel, word, powerpoint, outlook)
- Attending and participating Tradeshows as requested
Additional Requirements: Education and/or Experience
- Passionate team player ready to help raise the bar collectively with the group.
- Sales & Marketing / Business / Technical related professional qualification
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, strong presentation skills
- Experience in planning and implementing sales strategy & tactics
- Marine industry experience – significant benefit
- Bilingual – benefit
- Able to travel 10-40% of the time
