Role Description
This is a full-time role for a User Experience Designer, located in Edmonton, AB. This role will support a multidisciplinary team on various digital transformation projects and programs. The ideal candidate will have a broad skillset across research, interaction design, and visual design domains to be able to work on holistic design solutions, from early-stage idea generation until detailed design of service features and user stories in a digital product.

Qualifications
- 5+ years of professional experience in UX design and digital product design
- Highly developed design skills, demonstrated in your portfolio of recent work
- Experience collaborating in multifunctional teams
- Proficiency with contemporary design and prototyping tools and methods
- Affinity with J5’s values, and a passion for creating products that meet peoples functional and emotional needs
- A university degree in Interaction Design, Visual Communications, Human Computer Interaction, or a related design or behavioural science discipline
- Experience working with HTML, CSS, Angular, React and other frontend design frameworks as required to deliver functional prototypes
- Experience with frontend design applications such as Axure, Adobe XD, Sketch, Figma, etc.
- Experience with leadership, relationship building, and project planning skills
- Experience building and maintaining component libraries/design systems
- Experience developing UX artifacts, including streamlined scenarios, storyboards, wireframes, flows and interactive prototypes
- Experience using accessibility standards and principles including the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines
