We are looking for a Systems Analyst for a 12-month contract position, with possible extensions in Regina, Saskatchewan. Must be legally entitled to work in Canada.This role is a hybrid position with 3 days in the office per week. 8 hours a day, 40 hours a week. This is NOT a remote role.Role Description:
The IT Client Solutions team is seeking a Systems Analyst to support a portfolio of business and technology initiatives. This role focuses on working closely with business stakeholders, vendors, and internal IT teams to gather requirements, perform system analysis, and ensure solutions are delivered in alignment with established quality and assurance standards. The work is related to vendor software implementation projects.
The successful candidate will be responsible for end-to-end systems analysis activities, including requirements gathering, documentation, testing coordination, production release planning, and knowledge transfer to operational support teams.
Responsibilities:
- Engage with business clients to gather, analyze, and validate functional and technical requirements
- Perform system analysis and assess impacts of vendor software solutions within existing environments
- Produce clear and complete project documentation, including requirements, specifications, and deliverables
- Develop test plans and test cases; coordinate and support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) with clients
- Coordinate project tasks and timelines with internal teams, external vendors, and business stakeholders
- Plan and support production releases, including readiness and deployment activities
- Facilitate transition of completed solutions to operational and support teams
- Monitor implementation progress and address issues or risks as they arise
- Perform other related duties as required to support project delivery
Required Skills and Experience:
- 5 years of experience supporting vendor software implementation projects
- 5 years of experience working with Oracle or other database platforms
- 5 years of experience gathering, documenting, and analyzing business and system requirements
- 5 years of experience identifying and resolving technology-related issues
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills
- Proven experience coordinating with multiple internal and external stakeholders
- Experience working with project management and software solution methodologies
- Experience developing test plans and coordinating User Acceptance Testing is highly desirable
- Experience working within large, complex organizations is nice to have
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to build trusted relationships with clients and internal service providers
- Ability to work with minimal supervision in a collaborative team environment while meeting commitments and timelines
- Previous experience working in public sector
