Job Description: Business Development Associate
Location: Toronto (Remote/Hybrid) Department: Sales & Alliances Reports To: Chief of Innovation and Strategy
The Role
We are looking for a high-energy Business Development Associate with a passion for growth and a sharp eye for innovation. This is not a standard sales role; it is a strategic position sitting at the intersection of Alliance Management, Account Expansion, and AI Strategy.
You will be the bridge between Incloud and the Salesforce ecosystem, a hunter for new business across Canada, and a subject matter expert identifying the next wave of AI opportunities.Key Responsibilities1. Salesforce Ecosystem Evangelism
- Build Relationships: Act as the primary liaison between Inclouds and Salesforce Account Executives (AEs). Build and nurture strong, trust-based relationships with AEs across the Canadian market.
- Educate & Enable: Conduct "Lunch and Learns," briefings, and regular touchpoints to educate Salesforce AEs on Inclouds’ specific capabilities, success stories, and differentiators.
- Co-Sell Strategy: Work side-by-side with AEs to map accounts and uncover how Inclouds can support their clients' digital transformation goals.
2. Business Development & Account Growth
- New Logo Acquisition: Proactively identify and pursue new business opportunities within the Canadian market.
- Account Expansion: Analyze existing client accounts to identify whitespace. Develop strategies to expand our footprint by cross-selling new services or up-selling existing engagements.
- Pipeline Management: Manage the full sales cycle from initial outreach and qualification to proposal generation and closing.
3. AI Strategy & Market Intelligence
- AI Subject Matter Expertise: Maintain a strong understanding of the broader AI landscape (beyond just Salesforce Einstein). Keep a pulse on Generative AI, LLMs, and machine learning trends.
- Identify Training Opportunities: Scout the Canadian market to identify corporate needs for AI literacy and technical training.
- Product Feedback: Relay market feedback regarding AI needs to our internal product and delivery teams to help shape our future service offerings.
Who You Are
- A Growth Hacker: You have an innate passion for growth. Both for the revenue of the company and for your own professional trajectory.
- A Connector: You thrive on networking and know how to navigate complex partner ecosystems (experience with the Salesforce ecosystem is a massive plus).
- Tech-Savvy: You can speak the language of technical stakeholders. You understand the difference between predictive AI and generative AI, and you can articulate the business value of both.
- Resilient & Agnostic: You are comfortable selling established services while simultaneously exploring undefined territory in the AI training space.
Qualifications
- Experience: 2–4 years of experience in B2B sales, business development, or partner alliances, preferably within the SaaS or Consulting industry.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Commerce, or a related field.
- Skills:
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding quotas.
- Strong presentation skills (comfortable presenting to both executives and sales teams).
- Familiarity with CRM tools (Salesforce experience preferred).
- Bonus: Experience selling technical training or education services.
