Mechanical Design Engineer

Position: Mechanical Engineer

Location: Calgary, AB

Salary: $80,000 – $110,000 per year (depending on experience and qualifications)

Industry: Manufacturing / Industrial / HVAC / Engineering

Employment Term: Fulltime / Permanent (Hybrid)

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Lead the entire design lifecycle from concept to mass production, collaborating with various teams and departments.
• Create detailed engineering drawings, reports, design reviews, and other documentations.
• Lead the NPI design of Coolant Distribution Units (CDUs) from concept through product launch and mass production.
• Use advanced computer simulations to check and improve the performance of product designs.
• Perform validation testing, collect and analyze performance and reliability data.
• Other related engineering duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Post-secondary degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace, or a related field.
• 5+ years related engineering experience, including design.
• Working knowledge of designing parts and assemblies for mass production.
• Understanding of pump, motor, and sensor selection or design.
• Proficiency in using CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks) for detailed mechanical designs, drafts, and/or drawings.
• Proven ability to apply engineering principles to the design release process: GD&T, statistical tolerance analysis, among others.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
