The PE IT team delivers critical systems and data platforms to global stakeholders while aligning with enterprise governance and best practices.

Your new role

As an QA Automation (Test Engineer), you will take ownership of quality assurance within the Toronto team, working closely with developers, business analysts, and global stakeholders. This is a hands-on role requiring both strategic test planning and technical automation delivery.

Key responsibilities include:

• Designing, developing, and maintaining automated test suites across UI, API, and ETL layers
• Driving an automation-first approach, ensuring high test coverage and scalability
• Managing and preparing test data
• Performing performance testing where applicable
• Conducting exploratory and ad-hoc testing as needed
• Leading test planning, strategy development, and requirements reviews
• Collaborating closely with developers and Business Analysts during planning and grooming sessions
• Creating and maintaining test documentation and reporting, including sign-offs
• Integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps, Jenkins, etc.)
• Contributing to test framework enhancements and process improvements
• Working independently on-site while staying aligned with global QA standards

Must-have experience:

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in software testing, including 3+ years in automation
• Strong QA fundamentals: test planning, strategy, and execution

Proficiency in programming using:

• Python (preferred) & .NET (Java may be considered if strong in all other areas)

Experience with automation frameworks:

• Selenium (acceptable alternative)
• Strong SQL skills for query writing and data validation
• Experience integrating automation into CI/CD pipelines
• Solid understanding of testing methodologies and SDLC practices

Proven experience integrating AI into testing or development workflows, such as:

• Building AI-driven automation workflows, agents, or pipelines
• Integrating AI services (e.g., AWS AI tools) into QA processes
• Demonstrating practical, production-level AI usage beyond basic prompt-based tools
