Business Development Specialist – Media & EntertainmentPosition Overview
Gusto TV is looking for a confident and strategic Business Development Specialist to work directly with our CEO and Executive Management team. This role is about building relationships, driving new opportunities, and helping grow Gusto’s partnerships and revenue streams, with a strong focus on the US market.
You’ll reach out to potential partners and explore new business opportunities on behalf of the CEO and senior leadership team, helping position Gusto for strategic growth. We’re looking for someone who’s poised, persuasive, and confident working directly with Gusto’s CEO and executive team, while also engaging with C-suite and senior executives at partner organizations and potential clients. You will help identify and secure partnerships, support our production team with show pitches and sponsorship opportunities, and contribute to initiatives that strengthen Gusto’s market position. If you are relentless, strategic, and an exceptional communicator who knows how to close a deal, this role is for you.
Key Responsibilities include
- Strategic Support: Work closely with the CEO and senior team on key business initiatives, partnership opportunities, and growth strategies.
- Partnerships and Market Growth: Identify, pitch, and close new opportunities including co-productions, licensing deals, sponsorships, and brand integrations, with a strong focus on the US market.
- Development Support: Collaborate with the creative, production, and marketing teams to help package show pitches, sponsorship proposals, and brand integration decks.
- Lead Generation and Analytics: Use CRM, analytics, and AI tools to generate and track leads, forecast sales, and report on business performance.
- Team Collaboration: Work with production, marketing, operations, and finance teams to ensure business initiatives align with company goals.
- Future E-Commerce Planning: Partner with the CEO and executive team to shape Gusto’s future e-commerce strategy including vendor partnerships, fulfillment workflows, and platform integrations.
- Other duties as needed. This is a nimble, collaborative environment that values initiative and flexibility.
Qualifications and Skills
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Relentless business and sales instincts, confident closer with strong negotiation skills.
- Poised, articulate, and professional when working with C-suite and senior executives.
- Skilled in developing proposals, sponsorship pitches, and presentation decks with marketing support.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Media, or a related field.
- 3–5 years of experience in business development, partnerships, or e-commerce within media, entertainment, or digital platforms.
- Working knowledge of AI tools, e-commerce platforms, and vendor management.
- Entrepreneurial, adaptable, and comfortable working directly with the CEO in a dynamic and creative environment.
